January 2008--We officially decide to adopt!!

March 19, 2008--Apply to our home study agency here in Colorado.

March 24, 2008--Our first informational meeting with our agency.

April 25, 2008--Our first home study visit.

May 9, 2008--Our last home study visit.

May 27, 2008--Apply to our placing agency in Michigan.

August 4, 2008--Our home study approved by state of Colorado!

August 22, 2008--We are fingerprinted by US for thorough background check and final approval to adopt a child from Ethiopia.

September 13, 2008--Adoption Education class.

September 25, 2008--US immigration approves us to adopt!

October 27, 2008--Our dossier is sent to Washington D.C. for more US and first Ethiopian Embassy approval.

November 5, 2008--Our dossier is sent to Ethiopia and we officially are on the waiting list for a referral!!

December 13, 2008--Attended our last adoption education class.

December 23, 2008--Referral Day!!!!!

January 16, 2008--We received our court date of March 18th.
